Jesse Stoffer – Helping Maple Ridge Move Better, Recover Faster, and Feel Their Best

At Mountain Ridge Wellness, we believe that great healthcare starts with people who genuinely care about helping others improve their quality of life. That’s why we’re excited to welcome Jesse Stoffer, Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), to our growing team.
Jesse brings a unique combination of life experience, movement knowledge, and hands-on treatment skills that help him connect with a wide variety of patients. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, training for a sporting event, or simply looking to feel better in your day-to-day life, Jesse’s goal is simple: help you move better, recover faster, and get back to doing what you love.
A Personal Journey Into Massage Therapy
Like many healthcare professionals, Jesse’s path into massage therapy began with a personal experience.
Before becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Jesse spent years working as both a personal trainer and a bricklayer. His work was physically demanding, and like many people who spend years pushing their bodies, he eventually experienced a significant back injury.
During his recovery, Jesse worked with a variety of healthcare providers. The practitioner who made the biggest impact on his recovery was a Registered Massage Therapist.
The experience left a lasting impression.
Not only did massage therapy help him recover physically, but it also sparked an interest in understanding how the body works, heals, and adapts.
That experience ultimately led Jesse to pursue a career in massage therapy, allowing him to help others the same way he had once been helped.
Understanding the Body Through Movement
One of Jesse’s greatest strengths is his background in movement and exercise.
As a former personal trainer, he developed a strong understanding of biomechanics, strength training, mobility, and physical performance. This foundation helps him look beyond symptoms and understand how movement patterns, lifestyle habits, and physical demands may contribute to discomfort or injury.
Whether you’re an athlete training for competition, a tradesperson dealing with physical strain, an office worker experiencing tension from prolonged sitting, or a parent trying to keep up with a busy household, Jesse understands that every body has different demands placed upon it.
His treatments are tailored to meet each person’s individual goals and needs.
Supporting Recovery After Injury
Injuries can happen unexpectedly.
Whether the result of sports, work, exercise, motor vehicle accidents, or simply everyday life, injuries often create frustration and limitations that affect much more than physical comfort.
Because of his own experience recovering from injury, Jesse understands the challenges many patients face.
His focus is helping patients:
- Improve mobility
- Reduce muscle tension
- Support recovery
- Improve movement quality
- Return to daily activities
- Return to sports and exercise
At Mountain Ridge Wellness, massage therapy is often integrated with chiropractic care, acupuncture, and other services to provide a comprehensive approach to recovery and wellness.
A Treatment Style That Adapts to Your Needs
One of the things patients appreciate most about Jesse is his versatility.
Some people enjoy deeper treatment approaches that target stubborn areas of tension and restriction. Others prefer a gentler approach focused on relaxation and stress relief.
Jesse prides himself on being able to provide a wide range of treatment styles, including:
- Deep tissue massage
- Therapeutic massage
- Relaxation massage
- Recovery-focused treatment
- Sports massage techniques
- Joint mobilizations
- Movement-based approaches
Rather than using the same approach for every patient, Jesse adjusts his treatment style based on your comfort level, goals, and preferences.
The Importance of Joint Mobility
While massage therapy is often associated with muscles, healthy movement also depends on how joints function.
Jesse frequently incorporates joint mobilization techniques into treatment plans when appropriate. He has a particular interest in helping improve hip mobility, recognizing the important role the hips play in walking, running, lifting, athletic performance, and overall movement quality.
When joints move more efficiently, surrounding muscles often work more effectively as well.
For many patients, this combination of soft tissue treatment and movement-focused care can help support better function and improved comfort.
Massage Therapy Is About More Than Relaxation
While relaxation is certainly an important benefit of massage therapy, many people are surprised to learn just how many reasons individuals seek treatment.
Patients often book massage therapy to help manage:
- Neck tension
- Shoulder discomfort
- Back pain
- Hip tightness
- Athletic recovery
- General muscle soreness
- Stress and tension
- Mobility limitations
- Exercise recovery
Many people also choose massage therapy as part of an ongoing wellness routine rather than waiting until discomfort becomes severe.
Consistent care can help support movement, recovery, and overall well-being.
A Lifelong Learner
If there’s one thing that stands out about Jesse, it’s his commitment to learning.
Healthcare is constantly evolving, and Jesse believes that continuing education is essential for providing the best possible care.
He enjoys learning about new treatment approaches, movement strategies, and techniques that may help improve patient outcomes.
This commitment to growth allows him to continually expand his skill set while ensuring patients receive thoughtful, evidence-informed care.
Active Living Outside the Clinic
When Jesse isn’t working with patients, you’ll often find him spending time with his family or staying active through training and exercise.
His passion for movement extends beyond the clinic walls and helps him relate to patients who want to stay active, maintain their fitness, or return to activities they enjoy.
Whether your goal is to complete your next workout, play with your kids without pain, return to your sport, or simply move through life more comfortably, Jesse understands the value of having a body that feels and functions at its best.
