If you’re looking for a Maple Ridge chiropractor who takes the time to truly listen, explain what’s going on in your body, and help you feel confident in your care plan, welcome – you’re in the right place.

I’m Dr. Chelsea Lillbeck, Doctor of Chiropractic, and I’m so excited to welcome you to Mountain Ridge Wellness, our newly opened clinic in the heart of Maple Ridge on 224th Street. Opening this clinic has been a labour of love, and I’m incredibly proud of the team we’re building and the calm, welcoming space we’ve created for our community.

Whether you’re here for back pain, headaches, pregnancy care, paediatric chiropractic, or you’ve seen every practitioner under the sun and still don’t have answers – I’m really glad you found us.

A Chiropractor with a Northern connection

Although I grew up in the lower mainland, my education took me to Toronto for several years as I obtained my Doctorate from CMCC. Before moving back to Maple Ridge – I spent almost a decade working as a chiropractor in Northern Manitoba. And when I say “northern,” I mean northern.

I was the only chiropractor within a four- to five-hour drive from Thompson, which meant people came from everywhere to get care. Some patients even took the train down from Churchill, Manitoba, just to see me. When help is that far away, you learn very quickly how important it is to be thorough, adaptable, and continuously learning. It’s also important to provide patients with a variety of at home care they are able to do in case they can’t return for a follow up due to weather, road conditions or the train schedule!

Working in a remote community shaped me profoundly as a chiropractor. I couldn’t just refer everything out – I had to be able to assess complex cases, think critically, and support a wide range of conditions safely and effectively. That experience is one of the reasons I place such a strong emphasis on continuing education and evidence-based care today.

I’ve been in practice for over a decade, and I still genuinely love learning. (Yes, I’m that person who gets excited about new research!)

I Believe You Should Understand Your Body When You Leave

One thing I hear often from patients is:

“No one ever explained this to me before.”

That matters to me.

I firmly believe that you should understand what’s happening in your body when you walk out of an appointment. Whether we’re talking about:

  • How fascia influences pain and movement
  • Why I assess for hypermobility disorders before certain treatments
  • Or how an old injury might be contributing to something you’re dealing with now

Education is a huge part of healing.

I also love to teach – not just patients, but other practitioners too. My goal is never to rush you through care, but to help you feel informed, empowered, and confident in your treatment plan.

Matching the Right Care to the Right Person

Not every treatment (or practitioner) is the right fit for every person. And that’s okay.

One thing I really pride myself on is helping patients find the right person for their needs, whether that’s me or another practitioner, or finding you someone at Mountain Ridge Wellness. Personality matters. Comfort matters. The right approach matters.

That’s why I love working in a multidisciplinary clinic. Our team includes chiropractors, registered massage therapists, acupuncturists, and counsellors, allowing us to support patients as a whole person – not just a symptom.

Collaboration leads to better outcomes, and I’ve seen that time and time again.

Prenatal & Paediatric Chiropractic Care Close to Home

I have a special place in my heart for women and families, and I’ve completed extensive training in both prenatal and paediatric chiropractic care.

I’m Webster Certified, which allows me to support women throughout pregnancy as their bodies change, adapt, and prepare for birth. Pregnancy is incredible – and also physically demanding – and chiropractic care can play an important role in helping people move and feel better during this stage of life.

I also love working with babies and children. From torticollis in infants (to help prevent plagiocephaly), to supporting kids as they grow, move, and play – paediatric chiropractic care can be gentle, effective, and incredibly rewarding.

If you’re searching for a prenatal chiropractor in Maple Ridge or a paediatric chiropractor in Maple Ridge, you’re very much in the right place.

Solving the “No One Can Figure This Out” Cases

While I enjoy treating a wide variety of conditions, I find a lot of satisfaction in helping people who’ve been told:

“Everything looks normal… but you’re still in pain.”

That might look like:

  • A hockey player who took a hit into the boards and now has lingering shoulder pain
  • Chronic migraines that turn out to be linked to a hypermobility disorder
  • An acute lower back injury that isn’t responding the way it should

I take pride in digging deeper, asking better questions, and making sure nothing important is being missed.

Evidence-Based Tools That Support Healing

I love evidence. Research matters. And the tools I use in practice reflect that.

At Mountain Ridge Wellness, I incorporate advanced therapies when appropriate, including:

  • Radial shockwave therapy, considered the gold standard for many chronic and stubborn conditions
  • Stimpod, with emerging research supporting nerve-related conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, radiculopathies, and post-operative incision pain
  • A portable Class 3B laser, often used to support healing in conditions like costochondritis – that intense rib and chest wall pain some patients experience

These tools don’t replace good clinical reasoning, they support it.

A Clinic That Feels Calm, Welcoming, and Human

I genuinely love coming to work.

I love getting to know my patients, hearing about their lives, celebrating wins (big and small), and watching people grow over time. My hope is that when you walk into Mountain Ridge Wellness, you feel calm, welcomed, and part of something – not rushed or reduced to a checklist.

Healing is personal. And I want this clinic to feel like a place where your health, your time, and your story truly matter.
