Stimpod: Non-Invasive Nerve Stimulation
The Stimpod
Stimpod, developed by Algiamed Technologies, is a groundbreaking noninvasive treatment to treat nerve pain and dysfunction. It uses a mix of pulsed radio-frequency and low-frequency currents to stimulate the nerves directly through the skin. This technology helps alleviate nerve-related pain by sending gentle electrical currents to activate and support nerve healing. It offers a targeted and effective solution for discomfort.

Do I need a Medical Referral?
No! You do not need a referral for any treatment with Stimpod!
What Conditions Can be Treated?

Is Stimpod Covered by Insurance?
Yes! The procedure is a part of your Chiropractic treatment and is covered by any third party insurance.
Stimpod: New Technology & Treatment
Your practitioner will begin by discussing your symptoms to make sure the Stimpod therapy is right for you. They’ll ask focused questions to pinpoint the nerve causing the pain.
You’ll be placed in a comfortable position, and a ground electrode will be applied away from the treatment area. A pen-shaped device, with ultrasound gel, will deliver the current through your skin. The Stimpod uses a hybrid waveform. It combines a low-frequency current to locate the nerve and a radiofrequency (100-500 kHz) to create a weak, non-thermal electromagnetic field. This EM field travels along the nerve to its entry point at the spinal cord, triggering a metabolic cascade that influences gene expression markers regulating inflammation and nerve healing. These markers remain elevated for up to 14 days after treatment, with reported effects lasting weeks to months. Essentially it’s giving a gentle nudge to help your nerves heal and feel better.
The practitioner will adjust the device to find the nerve, indicated by a small muscle contraction for motor nerves or a moderate pulse for sensory nerves. Once located, the stimulation level is set for your comfort. Each treatment lasts 5 to 10 minutes. Some soreness afterward is normal as the nerve heals, but this fades quickly.
Over time, Stimpod therapy can reduce pain, enhance nerve health, and provide lasting relief. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve sustained results, making it a cutting-edge, noninvasive solution for nerve-related pain and dysfunction.
